We are four episodes in to Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and so far we’ve had backstory on Alice and Cyrus, backstory on Will, and a little taste of the Red Queen’s. Up until now, all we really knew about Jafar was that he had been after Cyrus before either of them ended up in Wonderland. In this episode we learned a lot more about Jafar, and what a fascinating tale it was.

Ariel - OUAT 03x06 Recap
Once Upon a Time there was a little mermaid named Ariel who lived under the sea and wanted to be a part of our world… so she broke out of her cartoon bonds and entered our world to pay Once Upon a Time a little visit under the guise of actress JoAnna Garcia. In all seriousness, tonight’s episode of Once Upon a Time offered its own twist on the classic tale of The Little Mermaid, which included more than a few nods to the animated Disney classic.

The Split Worlds: Between Two Thorns - Review

Between Two Thorns is the first book of Emma Newman’s fairy-tastic urban fantasy Split Worlds series. Published by Angry Robot, the books set up a towering wedding cake of realities, then give it a good poke. The multiple point of view characters are memorable, yet nuanced, but the setting could have done with being explained a bit more.
